My journey with painting has been anything but linear. I’ve always felt drawn to it, but for years I set it aside—waiting for the right space, the right time, the right level of skill. In 2020, that changed. Painting stopped being optional and became essential. I let go of the excuses and simply began.

I earned my BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah in 2002 and spent several years working as an illustrator for a local scrapbooking company. Today, I paint from a partially finished basement—affectionately called “the dungeon”—where I experiment, explore, and follow the movement of the paint as it unfolds.

My work is rooted in process, intuition, and a willingness to see where each piece leads. The journey continues to evolve, and I’m grateful to share it.
